Following on from Sidwell Glad To Be Back , Sidders has been speaking with the official site reporter Dan Harrison.

The former Reading and Chelsea midfielder says he wants to push on now and re-find his best form following a mixed time since his move to Villa.

He said on AVTV : that he has shown ‘glimpses’ of what he is capable of but admits along with the good, there have been bad games.

He is now looking for a run saying ‘If I get a run of games I am sure I can perform to the best of my ability. Hopefully now whoever takes charge I will get an opportunity and I will take it.’

Hope so, thought him a great signing when we first got him and was there at Wigan away when he came on as sub and scored a blinder of a goal, seems to have gone totally off the boil since, not helped I’m sure by a series of injuries and average performances dropping him to the bench.

He says that everyone now knows they have to fight for their place and obviously the squad will all have to look to impress the new manager. Lets hope that the new manager believes in competition for places and that profits us fans with some good displays on the field?!
