Aston Villa head coach Dean Smith held his pre-game press conference ahead of the Bolton Wanderers clash on Friday afternoon earlier today.

Our Easter Friday Championship fixture sees us make the trip up to the University of Bolton Stadium for the game, and Smith confirmed to the media that we can welcome back both Jack Grealish and Tammy Abraham for the game.

Jack missed out having picked up an illness just ahead of the game so he was given time off to recover, and on loan Abraham with substituted with just under 20 minutes remaining in the Bristol City victory as he felt his hamstring.

Both have returned to training though and have been passed fit ahead of this one and although Jonathan Kodjia is unlikely to return on Friday, he could well be back and available after his rib issue for Millwall on the Easter Monday.

Kortney Hause is said to be ‘responding well’ to treatment on his hip flexor issue, but he misses out for the double header and is expected back in training after Millwall.

Tommy Elphick is back training with the squad and building his fitness, as James Chester continues to make progress as well with Smith expecting him back before the end of the campaign.
