Smith Secures Our Hause As Villa Plans Continue – Now For A Merciless Signing

|

Aston Villa head coach Dean Smith’s plans for our return to the Premier League in the season of 2019/20 continue with the not so unexpected signing of former Wolverhampton Wanderers Academy graduate Kortney Hause.

The 23-year-old made the switch to us back in the January transfer window on a loan for the second half of the season and it was reported at the time that we had a snip £3million permanent clause inserted in the deal.

After a slow start, Hause certainly impressed when he got a run in the side and fans took to him quickly given his performances in the heart of defence and out on the left flank.

On Monday he became signing number four for the summer following on from the captures of Anwar El Ghazi, Jota and Wesley (although that deal is yet to be ratified).

Reacting to the announcement fans were certainly pleased to welcome him back and it didn’t take long for the ‘Our Hause’ comments to rear their heads. £3million given what we saw and how much development he’s still got to do should certainly be welcomed.

The length of the deal hasn’t yet been confirmed, but I’m assuming it’s a 3-4 year contract given his age and the other contract lengths we’ve seen handed out so far this summer.

Now for Mings!
