I went a bit quiet on all this as I don’t really like to speculate as some have. It all seemed too important to me to be guessing.
I do know from some consultancy I did, that some of the reports saying how close to the cliff edge we were, seemed pretty spot on.
As I said in this tweet:

From a coin toss as to whether we were going into administration or not, to the Villa statement where two billionaires, oh yes folks, we don’t go for just one billionaire, we go for two, have taken the controlling stake.
And as a good man on Twitter says:

I think (gulp?) I can speak for most of us when I say we don’t need promises that can’t be delivered. We need to see solid foundations and know that our beloved club has a proper future, not pie in the sky rubbish that never gets done and only leads to more anger from us fans.
I’m sure we’ll get some information out on the new owners shortly and hopefully we can all start smiling a little bit.
The only caveat to that is that despite now having two billionaires and hopefully they are intending to get stuck in investment wise, it still doesn’t solve the FFP restrictions and we’ll still need to offload players to fit those ridiculous rules.
