The Sun say that Villa and Sunderland will battle it out for Real Mallorca centre-back Ivan Ramis.

Certainly a position that needs strengthening after the awful displays of the last two seasons… hiccup.

The 27-year-old is apparently looking for a move to the Premiership saying, “This could be the ideal moment to make a change, and the Premier League appeals. I want more challenges, more dreams.”

And Real Mallorca`s vice-president has confirmed they have received an offer.

The Independent also carry some quotes from the vice saying:

‘We’re happy that Ramis has the idea and dream of progressing in his career. We’ve invested a lot in him and we know that he’s a local lad, who developed here and who is very important.

‘We’re not thinking that Ivan has to go. The truth is that we wouldn’t like him to go.’

No point linking to his wiki page, it isn`t up to date enough. However, if this video is correct (!) it looks like he can find the back of the net as well!

So, a replacement for Dunne or Collins? Or do you expect both to go?
