Article by Spursex on our Vital Spurs site … re-jigged for us.

Seems Spurs might take back their loan signing. Would you all be disappointed? Not sure I would be that bothered personally?

Spursex says:

Onomah and Carter-Vickers to be recalled in January?

Talking to The Guardian

Poch revealed recall clauses for both, and it seems there is a real possibility that we might recall our two academy graduates as injuries and tiredness seem to have taken its toll recently and perhaps Poch is thinking about how to inject some fresh blood into the mix for the second half of the season.

Both our loanees started well with their respective loan clubs, Aston Villa and Sheffield United, with both impressing.

‘We have the possibility to bring them back,’ Poch said.

I’ve been watching Josh closely and although his season has been a bit disjointed because of injuries its clear that playing more regularly has helped him progress, whether he has progressed enough to have an impact with us in the second half of the season is the great unknown. What we do know is that Bruce rates him highly as I’ve previously reported.

I commented on Vital Spurs:

He’s nowhere near ready for the top half of the Premiership, he’s hardly ready (some matches) for the championship. He’s very in and out. Be fascinating to see how he progresses and if he does break through eventually for you. I have my doubts but then he does some nice moves and I think maybe.

Harsh or fair?
