  • Phew! Only my third game of the season and the first we haven’t lost (previous 2 games Sheff Wed and Peterborough!). Was starting to think I was a jinx. Leaving VP happy is something I could get used to. It’s been a while.

  • Good first half, not so good second, but Hogan is on fire (great!) and was unlucky not to get a hat-trick with that one hitting the post. Happy with that though.

  • We only half to play one half to win these days. Lol. Great 3 points in a game where we really did HAVE to win.

  • I was shouting at the ref their no 19 should get a red. Bruce said to me “was it?” No I replied and kept shouting to the ref about his bad decision..

  • Only 3 pts of automatic promotion! Shareholders to be happy about!! Although the villa fan in me just knows it’s bound to go terribly wrong ??

  • Yes JF, I didn’t remember 21 attempts, although they sent plenty high and wide, so may be accurate. And Adam, we didn’t lose v Sheff Wed, just felt like it after being 2-0 up so quickly! Great result today, good positive stuff from the word go and we got

  • Another good 3 points and great to see Hogan scoring again , still like to see the youth on the bench, a break and then Sheffield Utd away , every game a ‘vital 3 points’ now , need to a few good signings to give us a boost leading into the final run in.

  • Found a good blend by accident again. Bjarnason looks like he is now in a natural position for him, as does Hourihane. Jack is on fire, and I am truly delighted for Hogan. Is this all down to Agnew? Who cares, keep it going.

  • Played some good stuff in the first half, I’m really liking the way Snoddy and Elmo are linking up down the right. Elmo has his critics but he does put some lovely balls into the box. Hopefully Barneys current form will mean that we keep hold of him now.
