  • Finally a win! But nowhere near as good a performance as we had against Man U.

  • They looked a tired bunch of lads in the second half, but a win is a win! Couple of dodgy offside decisions against us and a penalty shout, and some great saves from Myhill.

  • I hear you though on the subs…..maybe O’Neil is finally catching on as regards doing what’s necessary to close out some of these tight games….a few late subs to wind the clock down a few crucial minutes…..nice one!

  • Night game and 40,000 turn up to watch Villa take on a bottom of the table side Hull City. I remember standing on the Holte years ago and watching Villa paste them 5-0 Oh for those halcyian days to return.

  • 3 subs and Heskey didn’t start!!!!!! What most of the fans have wanted for 2-3 months. MON is listening. AND WE WON

  • What a plonker you are Albarnista most of these players were bought by Mon, he cant win with you can he. After 3 years in charge we are now a top 6 club challenging the top 4, yes he has spent a lot of money but that was needed to get thus far. What do u want man apart from shooting. UP THE VILLA. Well Mon on a great season here is to next being even better!!!

  • I say we take away Championship manager and Fifa09 games away from these people. Seems that playing those games makes average joe into a world class manager who knows all there is to know about football (even though it’s as much use as dog S***t on the sole of a shoe) ;o)

  • Albamista makes a good point but the moaning about MON is needless. When we were on our winning streak we could hold onto leads, its only since our recent slump that we have sat back and got further and further back and eventually conceded. When we played Everton the first time we just went and scored another every time they did. The current slump was down to not MON but mainly the defence which is poor without Laursen and I’m sure will be addressed in the summer.
