  • Two things stuck out for me (watched it live in USA). Whelan remembered how to tackle again. Keinan Davis is a real prospect – proper centre forward.

  • Great result, very pleased for Davis. amazing what can happen when you play some hungry youth and actually attack. I will say this.. i’m refusing to get carried away. We are 8 points adrift after 4 games, still in the bottom half of the table and 1 win at

  • Yeah, the pluses outweight the minuses today but the defence needs to do some work to tighten things up at the back. On the plus side, Hourihane’s hat-trick plus being played in his rightful position and young Keinan Davis……what a match he had! Got

  • Attacking exciting football and a win! Davis made such a difference. Said for a while that we needed a forward who is good with his back to goal. Holds the ball up. It sticks with him!!! That gives midfield players time to support and run in behind strike

  • Spot on krfeskivilla, I’ve been saying the same for a while. Our midfield are usually so deep because the ball keeps coming straight back at us. A strong forward who can hold it up will allow them to get into the box. Hopefully Davis will keep his spot fo

  • As I said on a previous post, I knew we would win today and score goals. My grandson still has
that twinkle in his eyes as he has a 100% record so far ( 2 visits to VP & 2 wins ).
Massive positive with the performance of Keinan Davis – at last a re

  • Loved that, been way way way toooooo long since we were entertained like that. Delighted for the young players and also that Hourihane was allowed to get forward and show us what he can do. Lovely to see ‘that’ one not in the team as well, heard he;d go

  • Hi DJFrance2
I, like a lot of fathers/grandfathers, are so happy the team turned up today for your grandson’s visit. Creating a lifetime bond between you, your family and the team you support is the dream of every bloke – particularly when you don’t liv

  • A great win , much needed, just wonder if Davis would of even started today if Gabby had been fit ??? Thought Davis , Green and Hourihane were outstanding today, just like to see a few more youngsters on the bench. Lets see how they do away on Friday ???

  • Thanks marlin. Not into the Lottery, but must admit that, bearing in mind the cost of bringing
him over from France, the idea of asking the Villa for a sponsorship deal did cross my mind !!
Will let you all know when the next trip is planned..

  • Thank you Steve and the lads. Great result and a great nights sleep. I am a very happy man. Upwards and onwards. VTID
