Not totally sure we need another striker but according to The Birmingham Mail we are interested in 28-year-old PAOK striker Stefanos Athansiadis. The report doesn`t sound that promising if I`m honest… and though his goals to games ratio across that period of time is encouraging, he failed to score a single league goal last season. We have Gabby for that sort of form don`t we? His goal ratio according to this is 1 in 3.
I have to admit I was somewhat perplexed last night that Bruce played Gabby up front when we have two expensive signings who need match fitness and sharpness, McCormack and Hogan, sitting on the bench.
Obviously Kodjia is still on the comeback trail following his ankle break.
Oh and I missed this one the other day, in fact to be honest, I`d lost the will to live thinking about this transfer window! Luckily Mike Field picked up on it. Ross The Gate is being linked with a move to Sunderland. I have to be honest, I`d rather we saw a fit and more settled Ross bring us the goals (don`t care if he`s a bit of a cheese or not) than a striker from Greece who didn`t score a single goal last season.
Honestly, if you want no goals buy me. I’m cheap and cheerful, live close so no re-location issues and I’ve got my own kit already.
