The BBC sport site are reporting that Cardiff will take Aston Villa keeper Stuart Taylor to Ninian Park on loan until the end of the season.

The former Arsenal keeper has only appeared twice for Villa this season and the 28-year-old is now further down the pecking order due to the arrival of Brad Guzan. We have also been linked with a summer move for Man City keeper Joe Hart. Even without the link to another keeper, it seems clear that Taylor isn’t in Martin O’Neill’s plans.

Good luck Stuart, hope you find somewhere for regular first team football!

  • South Wales media reports deal signed and he’s in training. Hope he’s good for us and not a money-grabbing wnnabe a la Wayne Routledge…..!

  • Top keeper – never looked dodgy at all. Really depenndable and was Leicesters player of the year when on loan at them from Arsenal just before he signed for us. If he had have been fit when Sorensen got injured a few years ago and we got Kiraly in I doubt whether Sorensen would have got back into our team.
