Swiss Visit In Pre Season

Aston Villa have announced that they will travel to Switzerland for a pre season friendly against FC Zurich.

The team will travel to the UTO Stadium on July 12 with the match having a 4pm kick off.

It comes a week before we begin our Intertwobob campaign so O’Neill obviously wants us to have some ‘foreign’ experience with the differences in style and play before we begin the campaign. This could be particularly useful for the younger chaps.

Or Intertwobob opponents are still to be decided but TPS Turku have taken a 3-2 lead into the second leg against Lisburn Distillery, with the winners to play Odense.

The Zurich match is an addition to our other confirmed friendlies – Lincoln (July 15), Walsall (july 22) and Reading (Aug 2).
