Takeover On Wednesday?

Is there a takeover about to be announced at Aston Villa?

Yes according to the Sunday Times.

The article says a takeover by an Irish group will be completed on Wednesday at a cost of £64million with Ellis staying on as a non executive (which makes sense for his contacts + as the main leverage to get him to agree on a takeover!)

The group involved? Comer Homes Group, with Operating Chairman – Michael Neville – said to be a lifelong Villa fan hailing from Solihull.

The report claims Villa will get around £20million per season for the squad and stadium.

We’ll see. Might just keep everything crossed in case!
