Aston Villa left back Neil Taylor has lost his Football Association appeal following his straight red in the game against Bolton Wanderers last weekend.

Whilst Villa won the game one nil with a first half Jonathan Kodjia penalty, Taylor saw red from a diabolical referee Jeremy Simpson late on in the game for a challenge on Adam Le Fondre.

Villa appealed the red card for the 28 year old but typically for the FA, their panel have upheld the decision.

Taylor is on international duty with Wales for games against Georgia and Ireland in World Cup qualifiers this month, but he will now miss our next three matches – Wolverhampton Wanderers, Birmingham City and Fulham.

Now Steve Bruce plays the ‘replace the left back’ game.

Whilst there’s no official ‘rejection’ confirmation from the FA, their suspensions table now lists an end date of 29/10/17 for Taylor.
