Following on from The Case In Defence Of Tim Sherwood here is a counter argument, he`sbiggerthanmeandyou posted his stats in The Tim Sherwood Forum Thread: Click Here (more adult language in the forum)

Sherwood’s Premiership record at Villa

Played= 21
Won= 6
Drawn= 2
Lost= 13

That comes to 20 points

We actually had MORE POINTS (22) under Lambert after 21 games last season

Less than a point a game. The water is muddied when you add in the cup games which is played five and won four, two of which were against lower league opposition though.

And comparing the 21 is merely highlighting how bad his run is…last year was terrible and records were broken all over the place and yet even Lambert got more points over the course of 21 games last season. And remember Lambert left after 25 games and when you look at the fixtures ahead there’s a massive chance Sherwood won’t get more than those 22 points in his first 25 games if he stays that long.

A slightly disturbing article is here at with three reasons Spurs fans wanted to see him sacked.

He doesn`t know his tactics: “During his reign Sherwood has flitted between 4-4-2, 4-2-3-1, 4-2-4 and swapped players in and out as if he`s completing a Panini sticker album. Naturally this has upset the fans.”

Tactically naive: “No defensive midfielder left Tottenham a little exposed to Andy Carroll`s unique skillset and has been a hallmark of Sherwood`s reign.”

And the third one made me laugh but I don`t have much time for, saying he`s a bit silly! Think we are all a bit silly when it comes to football really!?

Hate the thought of sacking yet another manager, also hate the thought of continually losing and relegation. Thoughts people?
