Luke Moore has been tipped for big things by Aaron Hughes and Jlloyd Samuel.

Our left and right backs both say Moore will be a big hit in the Premiership for many seasons to come.

Hughes told the official site: ‘He just keeps his feet on the ground and works very hard and he will continue to progress. I think he could become one of the top strikers in England if he keeps going the way he is going because his work ethic is fantastic.’

Samuel, said: ‘Luke is putting himself about and getting in the right positions so hopefully he can keep it up and keep scoring goals for us because we need that. He has that confidence. He is a good player and hopefully he can keep going forward and keep driving on.’

Exciting to see a home grown talent actually starting to fulfil his potential instead of – like so many before him – remaining ‘potential’. Moore is our joint top scorer with 8 Premiership goals. Milan Baros is also on 8 but only has 5 in the Prem (1 League and 2 FA Cup goals)

  • I agree he could become a great player for club and country but lets not overuse him while hes still so young.

  • He’ll certainly be a first team regular next season but for the remainder of this I’d use him sparringly and go for KP and Baros.

  • See your point but, as there’s not too much to play for this season, and thus little pressure, let’s give him some games.

  • I like his work rate and commitment if he keeps that up and develops further nevermind a regular for Villa but Engkand International maybe??? if Hargreaves nd Vassel got into the England side Luke can as well

  • I think he is developing into a big asset for us and i can see him getting 20 goals next season if he holds down a starting place

  • I was the first to say the kid wouldn’t make it, but that third goal agaisnt Boro had class written all over it and like all strikers, once he gets a run of goals and games you can see the best of the kid.

  • He’s got the potential, and he’s come on in leaps and bounds this season. I think DOL is handling him right, giving him starts here and there, then using him from the bench. If he keeps notching the goals at his current rate, its going to be very difficul
