It’s being reported that Shay Given has signed for Doncaster Rovers on loan for the coming season.
Although the deal is not yet official papers report an announcement will be made in the next 24 hours.
Apparently a group of Irish investors have made cash available to the newly promoted Championship side and they are set to go on a mini spending spree.
Curiously the report also links them with former Villa centre half Richard Dunne, and current out of favour midfielder Stephen Ireland – however in the case of Ireland it’s not speculated as to whether it will be a loan or a permanent deal.
If there’s any truth, you would imagine the former as Paul Dickov would want to see how he beds in at the club.
