Unoial Villa News…

Folks, are any of you Villa bloggers, or do you know anyone who is? More than happy to publish articles on Vital Villa and link to your blog, it is meant to be the point, an open site for all. HAS to be an original article, you can’t just take from elsewhere (and has to be an ok standard!) There is a ‘suggest an article’ button on the front page or you can email me (email icon by JP Fear at the top of the site by the eds list) I’m struggling to write apart from news at the moment, because my opinions are more on the miserable side and that doesn’t do anyone any good!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Paul Lambert has called on our fringe players (a hairstyle club?) to seize their chance in the first team as he rules out three players ahead of the Hammers trip. Pre match injury news: Click Here

Aston Villa have official confirmed that Marc Albrighton has joined Wigan Athletic on a one month loan deal. The Villa winger, who lets face it, has had no luck at all with injury and illness in the last few years, could feature for Wigan tonight as they play QPR. See: Month Loan Deal For Villa Winger

Winger Marc Albrighton has said he’s thrilled to get a chance to get some games under his belt during a loan spell at Wigan, and hopefully he can use the time to prove a point to himself and Paul Lambert. In quotes carried by the Birmingham Mail the 23 year old explained that his month long loan spell would be the perfect chance to play himself into some form and confidence and put in the kind of performances that will make our gaffer sit up and take note for when he returns. Paul Lambert has justified the decision to send Marc Albrighton out on loan for a month by saying he’ll get his match fitness and sharpness back far quicker by getting a run of games under his belt at Wigan than he would by remaining with us, so when he gets his next chance in the first team he’ll be far more prepared to make the most of it and build on the performance he put in against Spurs in the League Cup. Midfielder Fabian Delph has said the training ethic of manager Paul Lambert has been a big reason for his return to form and his back to back Player of the Month awards this campaign so far. Speaking to the Official Site with Delph starting to show the form that saw us pay £6million for him during Martin O’Neill’s reign, the midfielder said that his journey back to fitness had involved plenty of ‘blood, sweat and tears’ in the gym but after all the work he’s put in, he knows he’s now having the best spell of his career at B6 and he’s hoping to improve even further in the coming months. Aston Villa are being linked with Celtic prospect Lewis Kidd, and they are trying to tie him to a new long term contract as we aren’t the only ones looking. See: Who Are You Kidding?

Manager Paul Lambert has backed Andi Weimann to find his scoring touch in the league again, and sooner rather than later given his performances in training. Weimann has struggled really this season, both in terms of his composure in front of the net but also in terms of his form and all action displays. He’s still giving his all but clearly his efforts last season have taken a bit of a toll on him and he’s yet to find his best form. See: Weimann Will Hit The Goal Trail

Manager Paul Lambert has said is he unconcerned with talking to Randy or Paul over a new contract just yet, saying he’ll probably leave it until the day before it expires and then hope he hasn’t left it too late. When Lambert joined us from Norwich, he signed an initial three year deal and we are now obviously into the second year of that commitment and in the last two webchats hosted by our Chief Executive Paul Faulkner, the question of when the gaffer would sign a new deal or be presented with a new one was a healthy topic of interest from fans. Paul Lambert has praised the performance levels of Ron Vlaar, saying he’s now settling into the league far better than he did last term. Many fans are torn on our Dutch centre half, and there’s no denying at points he was awful last season – but credit where it’s due, he’s never denied that in interviews and admitted he wasn’t pleased with his own performances at points – but it’s fair to say that trying to settle in a new country and league whilst dealing with niggly injuries that keep you out of games for a fair bit, certainly isn’t going to help your chances of reaching top form. Libor Kozak has said that he sees no reason why he and Christian Benteke can’t be used in the same team together. Speaking to the Official Site ahead of the encounter against the Toffees, summer signing Libor Kozak said he had already welcomed Benteke back to the fold ahead of his cameo against Spurs in our last game, and insists that both players are capable of lining up alongside each other in the team and Villa to the three points we all want on a regular basis.
