Russell Martin has backed his former boss to be a success at Villa Park after praising what he achieved at Norwich. Speaking to Talksport following the official appointment of Paul Lambert to the Villa hotseat, the Norwich defender said of his former boss: ‘I don’t think you can emphasise enough how good he has been for the club and the players as individuals. He’s a great manager and I’m sure he’ll do well wherever he goes. Turkish Penguin: Does anyone remember the film Highlander? It came out in 1986, featuring a man called Lambert as a Scottish warrior who, after battling for several years and then dying, discovered he was immortal.
