Martin O’Neill has spoken on Wilfred Bouma’s re-call to the Dutch squad: ‘Holland, over the years, have had some really talented players. So I am sure that for him to be back mixing in that company will give him a big boost of confidence. He’s doing well enough in the side to be pleased with himself and he has got to keep it going.’ Adding: ‘He has made a big effort to try and get properly fit because Freddie can carry a pound or two extra, and he knows himself that he needs to stay fit to sustain that sort of level of performance.’

The Gunners visit to Villa Park has been move to Wednesday March 14 with a 7.45pm kick off due to their Carling Cup final commitments. The Liverpool match has also been changed for Sky and will now take place on Sunday 18 March with a 1.35pm kick off time.

Rumours were abound following the takeover of Aston Villa that Villa Park would at some stage be re-named. So, once and for all, will Villa Park be re-named?
