Villa striker Milan Baros is looking to build on his goal against Sheffield Wednesday and show us Villa fans what he can do. A few reports are doing the rounds putting two and two together and coming up with Villa. I guess we’ll be linked with every decent player and every available player between now and the transfer window in January. The latest one is a return to the Sheffield United link which has done the rounds several times over the last year or so. Sheffield United’s chairman Kevin McCabe has re-stated that it would take a massive bid to tempt the Blades to sell Phil Jagielka.

Vital Villa asked, in a poll suggested by deano.avfc, what Villa should do about a right sided midfielder from January 2007. 69% said we should buy Chelsea’s Shaun Wright Phillips. 11% wanted Villa to buy James Milner. 10% said we should re-call Lee Hendrie. 1% wanted us to play with a narrow midfield and no ‘natural’ winger leaving 4% unsure or wanting another option.

Lyon boss Gerard Houllier has rubbished rumours that he will return for Villa striker Milan Baros after he failed to attract him 18 months ago from Liverpool. He told AFP ‘Milan Baros will not come. I never offer a second opportunity to say no two times.’

The FA were set to look into the elbow by Juan Pablo Angel on Blades skipper Morgan but it has been revealed that the match ref had seen the incident and decided to take no action, so they are powerless and Angel’s elbow is said to be recovering from the vicious assault by Morgan’s face.
