I used to write positive things about Aston Villa. Honestly, it happened. Today? Staring blankly at my screen with Oasis on autoplay. No, not the ‘Don`t Look Back In Anger` from earlier in the season
it`s ‘Where Did It All Go Wrong` blasting out. I nearly went to Status Quo, ‘Down Down Deeper And Down` but if I sank to that this morning I`d probably end up turning to a full depression mode and sitting in a dark room with The Smiths ‘Panic` and ‘That Joke Isn`t Funny Anymore` on. I thought we`d have a bit of excitement this year and even possibly show the Championship a bit of swagger and arrogance. For the rest: The Sun
The wheels have come off in spectacular fashion at Aston Villa since the turn of the year. If you`re into such nonsense, we are apparently 91st in the form table, with only Leicester City below us. In recent weeks, we have lost to Brentford, Nottingham Forest and Ipswich Town. In fact, we haven`t won a match since Boxing Day, almost two months ago.
