How do the papers know who Villa are going to bid for? According to last week’s reports Villa will make a £9million bid for Peter Crouch. He was reportedly a target in January but Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez refused to sell anyone until the summer. Rumours suggest he’ll let Harry Kewell, John Arne-Riise and Peter Crouch leave. Other reports say that Liverpool are about to open new contract talks for the England striker.

According to the News of the World Villa are still interested in Portuguese players Nelson and Jose Boswinga.
