Vital Villa asked, in a poll suggested by Mackaavfc, the reason for English players over inflated prices? 47% said not many good ones about, 20% Chelsea have forced all the prices up, 16% the clubs are willing to pay the fees, 10% so many foreign flops, leaving 4% not caring and just wanting the fees paid by Villa and 3% unsure.

Vital Villa asked if we should sell Milan Baros amidst numerous links outward for the Czech international striker. Seems only 11% want him to stay, with a further 1% unsure. That left 24% saying he should be sold and the majority, with 61%, saying he should be sold but only if we have a quality replacement for him.

John Carew has spoken of his move to Villa: ‘Aston Villa is a big English club and I’ve always known about the team. There is a big interest in the team in my country Norway, so I’m really happy to be here. I’ve been lucky to play for big teams, in Spain and Italy especially. I’ve just been playing in France – with the French champions. So I’ve played for some good teams and with some of the best players in the world. Now I have a big challenge and I’m really looking forward to it.’ Full article: Carew Up For The Challenge
