Villa’s appeal over Brad Friedel’s red card has been won so he can face Manchester United in our next game. Common sense prevails. It was a penalty, no one would claim otherwise, but no way did the referee have to send the keeper off! Good news, it means Friedel can play v Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Vital Villan: Gabby Agbonlahor has been drafted into the U21’s side to face Norway and France. Gab will join up with Gardner and Milner in Pearce’s squad.
