Some won’t like this but Karren Brady is spot on, some of the terrace songs are just plain disgusting and uncalled for! Karren Brady was talking about the Blues fans and the song they came up with about Gabby Agbonlahor aimed at his mom. This was a song picked up by the Cardiff City fans at our home Carling Cup game last week also. Full article and quotes:

In an article by Lisa Smith in The Birmingham Post Martin O’Neill discusses the penalty awarded against Richard Dunne in our 2-1 loss v Blackburn Rovers. Stephen Warnock thought the pen was harsh, he said on the official site: ‘Unfortunately, towards the end they put us under a bit of pressure although I thought the penalty decision was harsh. Sometimes they go for you, sometimes against. I think it was tough on Dunny. You use your arms for momentum to move yourself forward and Dunny has done that. He’s certainly not gone intentionally to handle the ball. He is covering his face more than anything.’ Full article: www.avfc.co.uk

Villa’s official site blog today has Paul Brown and marketing guru (he made me say that) Dan Meredith seemingly trialing for Villa! www.avfc.co.uk

Blackburn Rovers midfielder David Dunn has spoken in glowing terms of his former teammate following his super save last weekend. He said: ‘I couldn’t believe he stopped the one in the first half, I was convinced it was a goal. I thought Brad had come back to haunt us but, fortunately, it was our day. For me he’s the best goalkeeper in the league, even now. He must be the equivalent of a 20-goal-a-season striker.’ Full quotes: www.avfc.co.uk
