In an interview with Mat Kendrick of the Birmingham Mail Petrov said: ‘Something came out which said I said we were going backwards. I haven`t been saying that and I just wanted to say we have been working really hard and have been really supportive to Kevin MacDonald, to the chairman and to the club, because we know how hard it is. When we saw what came out, it really hurt and I hope these things won`t come out. I want to set the record straight.’
