“This Would Be Wow” “Insane” - New Transfer Speculation Excites These Villa Fans

With the January transfer window in full flow, rumour mill speculation is hitting absurd levels of nonsense when it comes to Aston Villa – well, with links to the likes of Cenk Tosun, we can now add another name to the list, AC Milan’s Krzysztof Piatek.

It’s typical rumour mill fodder but it has gained plenty of traction on line. As the claim goes, we are looking to ‘hijack’ Newcastle United’s supposed pursuit of the £30million rated Poland international and it’s suggested that despite his highly rated status at Serie A level, following the arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, they would be willing to do a deal at the right price.

Since arriving at the club from Genoa, he’s scored 15 goals in 39 games so far and it’s implied that it would be a loan to buy deal so we could assess him first.

Now, whether we’d spend that much on a single player now is open to debate, but a loan to buy deal would make more sense on that front. At 24-year’s-old he would suit our stated transfer plan as well.

There will be those who question experience in our position though, but Serie A to the Premier League is less of a jump than other divisions and some are certainly excited.
