Thomas Sorensen has quite rightly come in for a lot of praise following his performance against Watford on Saturday.

The Danish international reflected: ‘I haven’t had a lot to do so far this season as the defence in front of me have played so well, so it was just nice to be kept busy for a change.’

He also said that Doug Ellis went in the dressing room after and told the players he was happy with the result. Sorensen explained, in an interview in the Post,

‘He’s been there longer than anyone can remember. But I hope he hangs around as he’ll always be welcome at the stadium and the training ground. He came in and shook hands with everyone afterwards and said he was happy with the result. But I’m sure it won’t be the last time we see him and that’s great as he has meant a lot to the club. But the new man, who we met last week, has come in, it’s new times at the football club.’

New times indeed, and winning times with luck!
