66% of those that voted have backed the rumoured move for Manchester City right-back Danny Mills saying that he would be a good buy and would add some much needed bite and experience to the team.

22% said if the former England international wasn’t good enough for Manchester City then he isn’t good enough for us.

10% said he would be a good buy but only if we say good-bye (!) to Mark Delaney who is rumoured – once again – to be a target for Blackburn Rovers.

Only 2% weren’t sure. Or at least they didn’t think they were sure but they couldn’t fully make up their minds.

  • Actually the more I think about this the more of a mistake I could see it beaing. Lets just hope it is paper talk and nothing else, there has been nothing from Villa on this, it is just his agent trying to set up something. Oh yeah and we are skint!

  • With such limited funds, should we really be focusing on buying a new right back? There are plenty of positions in the villa team that warrant improvement but right back is hardly one of them.

  • not sure, with DLC gone, Delaney often injured – and probably going – we only have Aaron Hughes for that place?

  • Exactly Oh Fearsome one, and having Mills at RB will allow Hughes to provide cover at left back if, as is being suggested, JLloyd Samuel is on the way out.

    Here’s a question, has Aaron Hughes ever played in a holding midfield position?

  • Blinking heck Gazton, you keep going and Hughes will end up our striker!!!! Not sure if he has ever played a holding role but agree he might be quite a good option, certainly would hold the ball up better than McCann.

  • There’s been no obvious serious enquiries for any of our players as of yet, so maybe we wont be losing the likes of JLloyd or Mark Delaney, consequently no need for Mills, not with the very limited amount of cash available to DOL anyhow. He would add som
