OK so Tony Xia has broken his silence. I have to say I’m not buying what he’s selling. Look at poor me, I’m heartbroken.
Not interested. Many of us are heartbroken by what is going on. That’s his private business. This tweet clears nothing up at all and looks to shift the blame.
It has been very difficult 2weeks as I hinted earlier I was almost heartbroken by something.Tried my best to keep beloved AV move forward. Thanks for all ppl standing together going through the difficult time. It was all supporters’ encouraging words to keep me/us stronger. #UTV

I’m not being nasty, I’m just being practical. He says he is a businessman but seems to have no understanding as to how business works. He’s gambled and lost. Now we are in a mess and it’s his mess. Yes, the board can be looked at, for sure they will also take some responsibility but the man who sits at the top of the business is the one who takes the full weight of responsibility. He likes the somewhat baffling hero worshipping for his ridiculous tweets, he obviously likes the thoughts of being a ‘big I am’ and we all wanted him to BE a big I am and bring us success. Instead, frankly, he’s brought us a crisis and much embarrassment.
We are talking about one of the most storied clubs in the world, your heartbreak is your business,Aston Villa is OUR business. You appear to be passing the buck. Not interested. You are in charge, you are responsible for our most precious AVFC. You now need to do the right thing

Harsh?
I don’t think so.

I’m not going to trawl all the way through the reactions to his tweets, you can click a tweet and look yourself, but just a few reactions:

And probably the best and fairest of them all
Can we get a proper statement as I’m afraid this doesn’t cut it

What a ridiculous way to communicate something so serious. Boy oh boy I hope he sees sense and sells up.
