Kevin MacDonald’s under 21 side snatched a draw and a point from a tightly contested affair against Brighton and Hove Albion last night.

Travelling to Crawley Town’s Broadfield Stadium for the game, Villa found themselves behind to a Ben White goal two minutes after the turn of the hour mark, but Jerell Sellars found the net four minutes later and that was how the scoring on the day ended.

Must admit this is the first time I’ve seen KMac’s name referenced with the under 21’s again since his return, although admittedly it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that I’d missed it or that Gordon Cowans was simply unavailable tonight and KMac is the obvious stand in with is previous experience but hey ho.

Suffice to say it sounds a lively performance with chances coming our way and the usual stand out performers get the name checks you would expect, but either side could’ve taken victory.
