Gordon Cowans’ under 21 side have travelled to Old Trafford tonight looking for another win to build on recent results.
The team is how you’d expect and Callum Robinson, who took his season tally to ten in the most recent game when he hit a brace against West Bromwich Albion, will be leading the line, but a few newbies from the previous game are also being given their first starts.
Tom Leggett and Isaac Nehemie actually joined Villa from Southampton’s Academy set up, and Leggett is expected to play at right back, whilst Nehemie takes up the left back role.
To allow for their inclusion, Brad Lewis and Ryan Strain aren’t included for this match.

Ahead of the game, Cowans told the Official Site that he had been delighted with the character of the side over recent matches and he was looking for us to continue that in tonight’s match.
‘I said in the dressing room after the West Brom game we did well to show some character. Conceding that late equaliser was a kick in the teeth, but they got their heads down, got on with it and dug out the victory. It was hard fought but I thought we were the better side in the first and second half.’
Villa have a tough end to this season’s under 21 campaign facing United tonight, before Chelsea next Monday at Villa Park and then finally away to Manchester City, so it would be good for them to go out on a high.
The Chelsea game has recently been arranged, and takes place next Monday (Apr 14) at Villa Park with a 7.05pm kick off, leaving only the trip to Manchester City to now be confirmed.
