The first fixture of 2018 for Kevin MacDonald’s Under 23 side ended in defeat at Villa Park as we hosted Fulham.
Aaron Tshibola, making his first appearance since he returned from his loan spell at MK Dons, opened the scoring midway through the first half and we went into the break holding the advantage. Sadly for us Fulham made a quick start to the second half and were soon two one in front and by the time ten minutes had been played we were three one down with Easah Suliman putting through his own net.
With games against Sheffield United, Southampton and West Bromwich Albion across the next fortnight we’ll be looking for a quick return to winning ways.
