Yesterday evening Kevin MacDonald’s Under 23 side returned to winning ways in the Premier League Cup competition.

Having lost out three one to Fulham in our last league encounter, goals from Harvey Knibbs, Jack Clarke and Jordan Cox sent us to a comprehensive victory and put us top of the PL Cup Group E table.

Hosting the side at Hednesford Town’s Keys Park, three second half goals gave us the win although it’s fair to say from reports I can see Sheffield United had the better of the first period.

Andre Green got an hour under his belt in the match as he continued his comeback from injury.

With three matches played in the Cup competition, we have games against Ipswich, West Brom and Sheffield United to see out in the coming months, and the top two will progress through to the knock out stages.

Sarkic, Borg, Finnerty, Bazeley-Graham, Clark, Doyle-Hayes, Prosser, Clarke, Green, Knibbs, McKirdy.

Johansson, Bedeau, Cox, Suliman.

Sheffield United:

Eastwood, Portman, Norrington-Davies, Scott, Graham, Cantrell, Gilmour, Slater, Smith, Hallam, Doherty.

Dewhurst, Wright, Hawkes, Parkhouse, Cutts.

Will add more details later today if I can find better updates.
