Kevin MacDonald’s Under 23 side took bragging rights in the derby clash with West Bromwich Albion on Friday evening.

Kicking off at Keys Park, Villa took the comfortable Premier League Cup victory over the Baggies with goals coming from Easah Suliman, Jordan Lyden and Harry McKirdy, but Villa did have to come from a goal down as the visitors took the lead inside the opening five minutes.

Villa top Premier League Cup Group E, sitting ahead of Ipswich Town, Sheffield United and West Brom.
