Aston Villa’s Under 23 side took a comprehensive four nil victory over Southampton earlier this week.

Hosting the side at Walsall’s Banks’s Stadium for the game, a brace from Jordan Cox with solo efforts from Corey Blackett-Taylor and Callum O’Hare gave us the comfortable victory, but the main talking point from the night was Jonathan Kodjia making his return to the pitch.

Having come through the Under 23 test, he found himself on the bench for last night’s tie against Middlesbrough.
