Aston Villa’s Under 23 side were meant to be in action later this evening in the Premier League Cup against Ipswich Town, but the match has been postponed owing to heavy snow on the pitch.
We were due to host Ipswich at 7pm at Hednesford Town’s ground – Keys Park – but following an inspection a short time ago and plenty of snow lying on the pitch, the decision has been taken to postpone the tie and a new date will be set in due course.
When the rearranged tie cycles round, Villa can book their place in the knockout stages of the competition with a victory as we already sit top of the group table.
