Kevin MacDonald’s Under 23 charges fell to a two nil defeat in last night’s match against Swansea City.

Making the trip to Swansea’s Landore Training Centre for the match yesterday evening, a 12 minute Oliver McBurnie goal was followed by a 64 minute Adnan Maric effort to send us to defeat but the positives from the evening were that Rushian Hepburn-Murphy and Andre Green both completed 90 minutes as they stepped up their return to fitness following injury.

Thier opening goal came from January recruit Jacob Bedeau giving away a penalty, but whilst the hosts had chances to double their advantage before they did, Hepburn-Murphy could’ve capped his injury return given his January knock but he saw his effort come back off the woodwork.

Whilst the evening didn’t go for us, we do sit in sixth place a point and a place below West Ham. Blackburn Rovers have a game in hand on us and are within two points of fifth place – but our final Premier League 2 game is against them in a fortnight.
