On Sunday afternoon Aston Villa’s Under 23 side made the trip up to Middlesbrough and the Riverside Stadium as our Premier League 2 campaign continued.
Great to get another 90 minutes in the tank today, happy for the win and to get on the scoresheet also🦁

Fresh from victory over Fulham in our last match, Villa picked up their third win of the 2018/19 campaign with a 2-1 victory. Dominic Revan opened the scoring in the 31st minute but Middlesbrough did equalise on the hour mark to draw level. Fresh from speculation about a potential loan spell last week to Barnsley, Callum O’Hare was back with the group for this one and he scored with five minutes remaining in regulation time to give us the victory.
The game was also our first back to back victory of the year as we lodged our third win in four attempts, but the highlight was seeing O’Hare get back in the mix with a goal as he continues building his fitness from his spell on the sidelines with injury.
That's it! Goals from @DominicREVAN17 and @CalOhare clinch victory at the Riverside Stadium. It's three wins out of four to cap a positive opening month to the #PL2 campaign. 👏#PartOfThePride pic.twitter.com/b2BsoEPJ6T

Whilst still incredibly early in the campaign, the victory does lift us into second place in the table, with Wolverhampton Wanderers occupying top slot at the moment and with the likes of regulars Mitchell Clark, Easah Suliman, Jordan Lyden and Kelsey Mooney all heading out on loan, Kevin MacDonald and Mark Delaney will be pleased with how others are stepping up in their places.
It’s Villa Park next on Friday, September 14 as we host Stoke City.
