Aston Villa CEO Keith Wyness has said all the hard questions are being asked and he has made sure all leave has been cancelled for all involved. Doris the tea lady is said to be furious!

He goes on to say that “together we must turn it round, everyone knows the reality.”

I must admit, I would quite like the owner (without his rather daft cryptic tweets) and the CEO to go further and give the manager – if it is true he is staying – their vote of confidence.

I`m told that some fans were talking to Keith at the Brentford game and he confirmed there won`t be any (or much?) money in January due to the financial fair play rules and that Bruce will be given the season.

The price for not gaining promotion this season will be massive though, not sure everyone realises. No more parachute money will mean we will struggle even more to fit within the FFP rules and one would fear that a fair few more ‘normal` staff will also have to be cut.

We can but hope that Steve turns this around very quickly, starting v Boro on Saturday and then at our next home game v Bristol City. We`ve failed this far to beat anyone in the top six. That now has to change and change immediately.

If not?

Well, Xia doesn`t have much of a track record (or much experience… I have no idea if he has much money to be honest) but he did remove RDM after a very (very) short tenure.

Such unhappy times… again.
