Villa Edge Rotherham To Take A Deserved Win But It Won’t Be Enough To Quell Unrest

What was more exciting on Tuesday evening, Dr Tony Xia breaking his silence or Aston Villa entertaining Rotherham United at Villa Park given relative form.

Or even simply two up front?

We had two up front…yippee!

We got off to a good start with both chances and possession in our favour and on-loan Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham made it third time lucky as he opened the scoring just ahead of the half-hour mark in the first period.

A 1-0 advantage at the halftime break left many wondering if that was our trademarked ‘good’ half and although the game was probably tighter in the second period, we did continue to edge it. Inside of the final ten minutes on-loan Everton winger, Yannick Bolasie, opened his club account following on from his cameo showing against Blackburn Rovers to double our advantage.

Not a great night, but far from a bad one for a change and we haven’t even had that in recent times.

2-0 was how it ended to get us back to winning ways, and we jump into sixth place in the table given results elsewhere this evening. A few sides are set to play tonight so it could all change but at least it was a step in the right direction
