For those that don’t visit the official site, the club are promoting the sales of tickets, especially half-season tickets.

They say: With Half Season Tickets now on sale, the simple message for the Claret and Blue Army is that we need you for what promises to be an exciting New Year. The fact is that you can make a difference. If you don’t believe us, just take a look at what the following have to say:
General Charles C Krulak: ‘The fans are what makes the experience. If the fans weren’t there in the stands, winning on the field would not mean anything. To see the excitement of a Villa fan is very special! The constant roar and din of Villa Park is something else.’

Martin O’Neill: ‘The fans have been terrific so far this season. They can really play a part and it’s up to us to get them on their feet.’

Gareth Barry: ‘Everyone’s been lifted this season. The noise the fans have been making has been superb and I’m just glad we’re giving them something to shout about.’

Stiliyan Petrov: ‘The fans have made me feel very welcome and their support is what pushes the players on – hopefully they can push us all the way to Europe.’

Juan Pablo Angel: ‘There’s nothing better than a full Villa Park. When we go out there and the fans are making lots of noise, it lifts every single player.’

I’ll print this out and take it with me in case that steward threatens to eject me for rattling the advertising hoarding when cheering the team on!!!!

It would certainly be great to start getting more seats sold, maybe an offer to the out of work Rover guys would also help, as would tickets for local schools and cub scouts etc. I’m sure a few new player arrivals will also help keep the buzz growing at Villa, as will European Football. Who can forget the feelings and excitement the atmosphere created at some of our big European games? It used to make my hair stand up at the back of my neck, that is when I had hair you understand! 🙁
