Scottish midfielder John McGinn has proven to be a revelation for Aston Villa since arriving for a snip £3million fee from Hibernian over the summer.

The 24-year-old has quickly established himself in midfield and his efforts in our shirt soon warmed him to the Villa fanbase. With suspension ruling him out recently, there is some debate as to whether or not he’ll return to the first team straight away given the performance of midfield as a whole against Derby County, but if he does miss out against Birmingham City this weekend, it won’t be long before he builds on his 31 appearances for us so far.

The Clubs’ social media team posted up a short video of McGinn this week, discussing his past and his hopes for the future and with speculation swirling about possible interest from Brendan Rodgers once more now he’s at Leicester City, one answer, in particular, will be of interest to fans.

“Hopefully still at Aston Villa playing in the Premier League, we all know this club belongs in the top flight. Hopefully I’ll be involved in it.”

Leicester can keep their hands off!
