Aston Villa take on Sheffield Wednesday this weekend and former manager Steve Bruce in a big game towards the top of the league.
Wednesday have enjoyed a resurgence since Bruce has gone in there but I do think we are playing football that is better than them and I wouldn’t say I regret him being removed to be honest.
We can really show that this weekend, too, with both sides going for the play-offs and obviously us in a bit better a position to stay there come the end of the campaign.
One man that won’t feature at all for the rest of the season, though, is Tom Carroll with the club confirming that he is out for the rest of the campaign.
We revealed on Twitter yesterday afternoon:
We can confirm that Tom Carroll has returned to Swansea City after being ruled out for the rest of the season.
The midfielder has undergone a hip operation and will begin his rehabilitation with his parent club.#AVFC pic.twitter.com/vpRGty87kl

A nasty blow for him, then, but one we probably won’t feel at all to be honest.
Carroll barely played and all our other midfielders are currently fit and so we should be just fine without him.
