The resumption of league action is just days away now and it is safe to say we are excited about seeing the boys return to the pitch.
The Villans have been excellent in recent weeks and hopefully the international break will not have come at the wrong time to halt that momentum.
For sure, one positive to come out of the break, though, is that Ahmed Elmohamady was rested by Egypt against Nigeria so they could try out new players for the squad in this period.
The right-back has played well in recent weeks and has real quality when on the ball, whilst he always puts a shift in.
Indeed, he’s bound to be important to our finish and so to see him get to put his feet up – as per the Birmingham Mail – is certainly good news.
Hopefully, then, Elmo will be nice and fresh as we get into the final stretch of this exciting campaign.
