Villa Goalkeeper Departing

19-year-old Villa keeper Stephen Henderson has agreed to join Bristol City when his contract ends on July 1st.

He said:

‘I am very happy to be here and I can’t wait to get going on July 1 as I am here to make an impression. I would like to prove myself to the fans and challenge the other two goalkeepers already at the club. I came through the academy ranks at Villa and I have played plenty of reserve-team football. I am still only young and hopefully my career can start now.’

‘I am joining the club at the right time. I have seen all the videos of the promotion celebrations and it was a tremendous year for Bristol City.’
