Villa Groundsman In Running For Award Again

Jonathan Calderwood is in the running to win the Barclays Premier League Groundsman of the Year award for the fourth consecutive year.

Calderwood is up against groundsmen from three other top-flight clubs in the final of the prestigious competition, with judging set to be finalised next week.

Main point of this is to wish Jonathan luck from us all and also to salute the guy. I’ve not met him directly but know a fair few who have and they say he’s a gentleman and a scholar, as well as a Villa pitch obsessive, which you can tell as the pitch is always something to behold (and yes, before anyone else pipes up… unlike some of the football ON the pitch!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
