Aston Villa fans have long known where Academy graduate Jack Grealish’s loyalties lie, and he’s rarely been shy in proving it, but the same also goes for head coach Dean Smith as he grew up as a fan as well.

Both have their own individual reasons for absolutely loving our progress through to Wembley in the Championship Play-Off battles and they have each played their own role. Dean managing the club he loves, and Jack captaining it.

Whilst we didn’t have the Semi-Final in midweek go our way perfectly, there was plenty of effort and determination on show and with the game remaining tied at the fulltime and extra time whistle after they got the leveller on the night, it was onto the lottery of penalties.

Jed Steer’s heroics between the sticks in saving their first two efforts set us up nicely and Tammy Abraham made his effort count to book our second straight trip to Wembley Stadium.

With plenty of celebrations on the pitch, I’m sure fans have seen the video of Sporting Director Jesus Garcia Pitarch also going mental on the pitch (above if you haven’t), this image from the night left me with a smile on my face.

They’re both living the dream, now one more big push to make it even better.
