Villa Loanee Gets Himself Up & Running Again Following Injury

Andre Green’s loan spell away from Aston Villa in the season of 2018/19 hasn’t been spectacular as he headed for Fratton Park and Portsmouth.

The 20-year-old winger made only two appearances for the club – and he didn’t really impress – but then news came out of a longish standing injury issue that he’d been playing on with, so he underwent surgery to correct the problem.

It caused some ructions as Portsmouth seemed to be entirely unaware of the problem he joined them with, but having spent his time on the sidelines, he was back in action on Tuesday evening as they faced Tottenham Hotspur’s Under 23 side in the EFL Trophy.

Pompey took a 3-2 victory on the night, and Green opened the scoring for them in the 50th minute sp there are now high hopes he can make the rest of the spell very successful for him, before he returns to try and impress new head coach Dean Smith.
